We live in a time in which there is a crisis of character. Our character can either hold us back or allow us to rise above; to succeed, we must deal with any flaws we have in this area. The excellence of a Christian is reflected in his or her character; having a godly, morally upright character means doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do, regardless of others’ opinions. No one can rise above their character. All we need to do to start seeing positive change in ourselves is to get out of God’s way and yield to the Spirit, who accepts the responsibility for our transformation. Cooperating with Him allows us to develop the same characteristics as Christ, Himself.
