Gender Roles (M&L 10am Session)

Worldly attitudes can diverge sharply from God’s point of view, and when we view gender roles from a traditional, worldly mindset, we get completely wrong ideas about the relationships between men and women. In the beginning, when God created Adam and Eve, they were equals and co-partners ruling over everything God gave them. Their relationship was in perfect balance. After they transgressed, sin upset the equilibrium between man and woman. The result was male domination over women, inequality, violence, and prevailing patriarchal attitudes. Jesus came to earth to restore that balance and re-establish God’s original plan. Learning what the Scriptures reveal about gender equality will radically transform marriages and relationships between men and women.
